December 15 | Intro to Sewing Machines: Patchwork Wall Hanging

Whether you’re brand new to sewing or looking to build confidence with your machine, this supportive, beginner-friendly class is for you.

What you’ll learn:

• Sewing machine basics: Winding a bobbin, threading your machine, and sewing straight lines.
• Patchwork techniques: Selecting, arranging, and piecing together fabric squares.
• Finishing skills: Ironing, pinning, and assembling your wall hanging with a fabric backing and dowel for easy display.

What’s provided:

• A variety of second-hand woven fabrics in colorful squares for your project.
• Neutral cotton ribbon, dowels for hanging, and thread.
• One-on-one guidance throughout the class to help you feel confident and supported.

What to bring:

• Your own sewing machine (with a needle, foot pedal, and power cord).
• Your sewing machine manual (if you have it! you can sometimes find these online)
• A bobbin compatible with your machine (extras for some models will be available).

 Class Fee: $65 - $105 on a sliding scale.
